Oak Academy
Oak Academy is a 11-16 school serving the Bear Cross and West Howe communities in Bournemouth. The academy joined Authentic Education in September 2017 along with Elm Academy and LeAF Studio School; all three schools previously having been part of the LeAF Federation.
Since joining the trust, Oak Academy has undergone significant transformation and continues on its journey of school improvement. The academy community is now driven by the shared belief that every student has the right to learn, grow and achieve. This common ethos is integral to motivating all members of the community to improve the academic outcomes and life-chances of its students.
As part of its rapid school improvement, Oak Academy contribute to and gain from a rich programme of curriculum support available across all secondary schools within Authentic Education.
Oak Academy is benefitting from a complete rebuild, with the new school building due to open in September 2025.
